April 2008
Dear Campers and Parents,
Thank you for registering for camp this summer. We are excited to start a new season in such a beautifully wooded setting, which lends itself perfectly to our theme, Summer of the Lenni Lenape. Faith, Sarge and I meet each weekend to gear up for a terrific summer with a staff committed to helping campers make new friends, develop new skills, learn to appreciate the outdoors and most of all, have fun.
Included in this packet:
-
Medical Form* - This does not
require a doctor's visit and is due back to us by June 9th.
-
Camp Calendar* - Our theme this
summer is focused on the Lenni Lenape traditions.
-
Camper to Counselor Letter* -
Because every child matters at Miquon, we ask your camper, with your help, to
complete this letter to help us get to know your camper and plan for his/her
arrival. We would like this to come back to us by June 9th as well.
-
How It Works - For more specific
family information about camp works, check out this set of basic family
information. All the nuts and bolts are located here.
We have also posted these items as PDFs to our website on the page marked,
"Information for Enrolled Camp Families".
Our Open House is scheduled for Sunday, June 9th at 1:30 PM. At this time you invited to visit us for an informal meet and greet with our staff, to swim (weather permitting), to drop off medical forms and to pick-up your camper’s schedule, group list, camp bag and basic transportation information. Transportation information, other than route name and pick-up location, will be phoned to you on June 18th and 19th. If you are unable to attend, we will mail you the group schedule and list, and we will give your camper a camp bag on his/her first day of camp.
The best way to reach us between now and then is still via e-mail. We check our mailbox each day, Monday to Friday.
Best wishes for a wonderful Springtime,
Cindy Fleming-Powell, Director
Bill “Sarge” Teague, Assistant Director
Faith Varrone, Registrar
